How do I get to Göbekli Tepe?
Göbekli Tepe is 15 km northeast of Sanliurfa. All our tours include hotel pickup from Sanliurfa city centre. The nearest airport is Sanliurfa GAP (GNY), with direct flights from Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.
What should I wear?
Comfortable walking shoes with good grip are essential — the terrain is uneven. In summer (May-September), wear light clothing, sunscreen, and a hat. In winter, bring layers and a warm jacket.
Is the site accessible for people with mobility issues?
The main viewing platforms are accessible, but the full site tour involves uneven ground and some slopes. Please contact us before booking and we will arrange appropriate accommodations.
Can I visit Göbekli Tepe without a guided tour?
Yes, the site is open to independent visitors. However, there is minimal on-site signage, so a guided tour is strongly recommended to fully understand what you are seeing.
What is the best time of year to visit?
Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) offer the most pleasant weather. Summer can be extremely hot (40°C+), and winter is cold and occasionally wet. We operate tours year-round.
